Gladewater Road Missionary Baptist Church | 2535 East Ann Arbor Dallas, TX 75216 | 972-677-7841
In September of 1966 on the 22nd day, Minister L. J. Pate, Sr., had been in the ministry only one year, two months and five days when he completed organizing Gladewater Road Missionary Baptist Church. We did not have a church building, nor any particular prospective members, but the Holy Spirit urged him on in the task. The Bible says that "obedience is better than sacrifice." So, in obedience, Minister Pate pressed on. Where would the money come from? Minister Pate knew that his Father is rich and his grace is enough to get him through any situation. In response to those who said he was too young, he reminded them that those whom God calls, He also qualifies.
The home of Minister and Sister Pate at 2414 Volga Avenue was the scene of the organizational meeting. Participating int he organization of Gladewater Road Missionary Baptist Church were; Minister William Armstrong, Minister H.K. Giddings, Minister O.D. Pate and Minister William Hackworth.
On Sunday September 6, 2015, God blessed us to move to a new address. We will continue to move forward and lift the name of the LORD.
